OCEAN CITY, Md. — Ocean City fire crews were called to the scene of a restaurant fire early Friday morning.
The incident was reported around 4 a.m. for a structure fire at Mad Fish Bar & Grill. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they noticed flames and heavy smoke coming from the structure.
Fire Commanders upgraded the fire to three alarms and called for additional help from fire companies to help keep the fire under control.
Fire officials say there was no one inside of the restaurant during the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Community members and local business are now working to employ displaced workers from the restaurant.
