CECIL COUNTY, Md. — Nine people were injured following a boat explosion on the Fourth of July in Cecil County.
The Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, along with other state agencies, responded to Schaefer's Canal House for a reported boat explosion.
Officials say nine people were injured—seven were on the boat and two were on the dock.

Four people were flown to local burn centers and five additional people were taken to a local trauma center.
This incident remains under investigation.
