CECIL COUNTY, Md. (WMAR) — Update: The road has been re-opened.

A gas leak has forced a stretch of Pulaski Highway to shut down Thursday morning.

The Cecil County Sheriff's Office says the westbound side from Rt 279 to Ephrata Road is closed.

Crews are headed to the scene for repairs, but there's no estimated time on when the road will re-open.

It's unclear at this point what caused the gas leak.
