A pedestrian was struck and killed on Route 26/Liberty Road in Eldersburg early Thursday morning.
According to Maryland State Police, officers were called to the area near Old Liberty Rd just before 5:30am for the accident.
Only one vehicle was involved and the driver stayed on scene. Police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor. The male pedestrian was in the middle of the dark roadway for an unknown reason and wearing camouflage, believed to be meeting someone.
Police will continue to investigate.
