WESTMINSITER — A one-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd is making his debut as the newest member of the Carroll County Sheriff's K9 unit.
K9 Lazar is originally from Budapest, Hungary and has partnered with Deputy First Class Ullrich, who has been working patrol for three years with the Sheriff's Office. They say he has a strong nose and a great work ethic that will be a great asset to the department's Patrol Division.
Aside from all the cuteness, Lazar has completed a six-week Patrol and Narcotic K9 Academy and is ready to work and serve the citizens of Carroll County.
K9 Lazar is replacing K9 Buhl who retired in April 2019.
