17-year-old driver trapped in truck following Hampstead crash

HAMPSTEAD, Md. — A 17-year-old Manchester man is in critical condition after being trapped in his car following a single-vehicle accident Thursday morning in Hampstead.

Carroll County Sheriff’s Deputies and emergency medical and rescue crews responded to the 4600 block of Gross Mill Road at about 9:38 a.m. for a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a 2008 Ford Escape in which the driver, Dylan Michael Brown, was trapped.

Rescue crews extracted Brown from the Ford and brought him to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma unit in Baltimore, where he was listed in critical condition.
