OWINGS MILLS, Md. — It's the season of giving and caring and tonight we care enough to find a job for 24-year-old Zach Lansing from Owings Mills.
He graduated for Penn State in May 2018, interning as a video producer and production assistant. He is still looking for a job in the communications field.
Did I mention, he was born without ears. No chin and a face that shifted. And that he had to overcome a learning disability.
Did I mention he still managed to get his license to drive, still went to the prom, made friends, played sports and traveled the world.
This Owings Mills miracle just wants a shot, the way he can hear is complicated.
A Doctor in California managed to use Zach’s ribs, and fat from his tush and sculpt an ear like an artist would on a statue. He snaps in an amplifier to a bolt behind his head to make out what you are saying. Still his world is muffled.
