A man wanted for attacking and trying to rob a woman was turned in to police by a family member.
Baltimore County police released surveillance pictures of the man and when a family member saw them she called police.
Steven Allen, 56, is charged with robbery, assault, petty theft and other charges. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Police say he threatened a woman with a taser-like device. She defended herself against her attacker and he only made off with a few dollars.
Baltimore County Police say the woman parked her car in the Bank of America parking lot in the 5200 block of East Drive in Arbutus on April 21. As she got out of her car, a man approached her and pulled out a taser-like device. He put it near her neck and tried to grab her purse.
The woman shoved the man and he fell to the ground, dropping the device. Her purse also fell to the ground spilling the contents, including $9. The suspect picked up the cash and walked away in the direction of the Dollar General store.
Police officers searched the area and found the man's NASCAR jacket and hat in a storm drainage ditch.
