A 22-year-old woman from Essex died overnight after her car went into a guardrail. Police say officers were called to the scene on Philadelphia Rd near King Henry Circle around 3:45 a.m. Sunday. The driver has been identified as Breaira Whitney Johnson of the 8800 block of Golden Tree Lane. Police are not sure why her 2017 Lexus QX60 crossed the center line, into the lane of oncoming traffic and collided with a guardrail. She was the only person in the car.
Police will continue to investigate.
