Baltimore County Police say the suspect in the White Marsh car dealership stabbing has been taken into custody.
Demetric Omar Phillips, 31, has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, police said. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Police were investigating a stabbing at the Koons Chevrolet dealership in White Marsh Tuesday night.
"We knew early on that this was a workplace violence incident. We very quickly identified the suspect, we just had to figure out where he was," Corporal John Wachter told ABC2.
The victim and Phillips were co-workers, according to police. An initial investigation indicated that the two adult male employees at Koons Chevrolet were arguing inside of a service bay. During the argument, Phillips stabbed the other man multiple times in the upper body and then fled the scene, police said.
Detectives located Phillips at Sinai Hospital, where he had gone to seek treatment for cuts he received during the incident.
