BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Hundreds of homes remain without water, following a 16" water main break that originally caused about 1,500 homes to lose their service on Thursday night.
The water main break was reported in the 3400 block of Eastern Boulevard , and was caused by a non-DPW contractor.
Residents on Carroll Island and Bowleys Quarters Roads and adjacent streets are affected.
DPW says currently around 400 homes remain without water. Officials are hoping to restore service to everyone by nights end but are urging citizens to stock up on bottled water just in case water remains out of service.
