State Highway Spokesman Charlies Gischlar said cranes were brought in to remove the 480,000 pound payload that fell on the road around 9 p.m.
Gischlar warns the right lane will be closed for approximately 14 hours causing traffic delays as traffic picks up during the morning commute. Commuters should be prepared to add at least 30 minutes to their morning drive.
A suggested detour for drivers coming from the Middle River area headed to Towson is to take I-95 to White Marsh Boulevard to get back to the outer loop.
