St. Stephen School in Kingsville, Md. went on lockdown Monday afternoon due to a “family dispute” in the area.

Baltimore County Police responded to reports of a woman possibly armed with a knife at a home near the school. Police requested a modified lockdown as a precaution.

The woman wasn't located and police lifted the ban. Two patrol cars remain at the school.

School officials issued a statement during the lockdown saying all children were safe inside and accounted for.

“We will keep the children inside until we receive word from Baltimore County Police that the situation has been resolved,” officials said. “We will be in touch with further information as soon as we receive it.”
