Friends, family and the public will honor Staff Sgt. Mark De Alencar Tuesday.
A funeral mass will start at 11 a.m. at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Abingdon.
On Wednesday, De Alencar will be laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
De Alencar, a Harford County native, was killed in Afghanistan last month. He was 37 years old.

He leaves behind a wife and five children.
A visitation was held Monday evening.
