More than 300 athletes enjoyed breakfast Tuesday morning with Baltimore favorites.

Ravens quarterback, Joe Flacco and tight end, Dennis Pitta, joined forces with former Baltimore Colt Tom Matte hosting the first ever "Breakfast with Champions."

The event benefited Special Olympics Maryland and its mission to provide quality sports training and competition to Maryland's children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

For Pitta this was an inspiration.

"You know you meet so many special people who are doing so many tremendous things with their lives. We're all dealt certain cards at birth and we all have weaknesses and we all have strengths. You know, they're inspirational for us and I just love being a part of it and for Joe and I we have a platform we're able to give back and I think it's important for us to recognize that and to do our part," Pitta said.

The breakfast also acknowledged the athletes from Maryland that will go to Australia and compete in the Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017.
