Pedestrian fatally struck on I-795 in Owings Mills late Saturday

Maryland State Police are investigating after a pedestrian was fatally struck on southbound I-795 near Owings Mills Blvd late Saturday night. According to a release, troopers were called to the scene just before 11 p.m. where they found a 2008 Honda Accord with front end damage that had struck a pedestrian who attempted to cross the interstate. Police say the pedestrian has not been identified yet and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Accord was the sole occupant and suffered no injuries.

State police and State Highway workers kept only one lane open overnight while the accident was being investigated.
