PIKESVILLE, Md. — A pedestrian crossing the street on her way home in Pikesville on Wednesday was struck by a car and killed.
Baltimore County Police responded to the scene just before 8 p.m. on Wednesday and found that 51-year-old Deborah R. Friedman was attempting to cross Chelwood Road outside of the crosswalk when she was struck by a Lexus turning left.
The woman was transported to shock trauma where she was pronounced deceased.
The Baltimore County Crash Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
The driver of the Lexus did remain at the scene and was not injured.
