and last updated

Baltimore County officials have confirmed a partial roof collapse at Parkville Middle School overnight.

Officials say uneven snow drifts led to the collapse of a roof area next to the school's gym.

The call came in at 9:50 p.m. as a fire alarm. Crews arrived to find water coming from the building.

No injuries or fire were reported in the collapse.

The Baltimore County Fire Protection Engineer is currently evaluating the damage, and have determined that the portion of the building where the collapse occurred is unsafe.

Baltimore County schools and offices are closed Tuesday due to weather conditions. It is not yet known if students will be able to return to the building once school reopens.
