TOWSON, Md. — Baltimore County Executive, Jonnny Olszewski, will ask the General Assembly to reconsider a bill to provide additional funding for school construction projects during a special session set to begin on May 1.

He says that the projects will be delayed for at least a year if they don't get the extra money.

The $2 billion school construction bill was stalled in the Senate at the end of the 2019 legislative session.

"We can't afford to wait any longer," said Olszewski. Students and their families are relying on us to do what's possible and do what's necessary to give them the best education. Let's get the job done now."

Olszewski will be joined by County Council Chairman, Tom Quirk, other members of the council, members of the Baltimore County school board, and Baltimore County Schools.
