The officer caught on video punching a 19-year-old man outside a popular Towson bar Saturday has been pulled off patrol duty. He's now on administrative duties while the incident is reviewed.

Baltimore County Police Chief Jim Johnson says the move is in everyone's best interest given the controversy surrounding the arrest.

Cell phone video that went viral last weekend showed three officers attempting to arrest Zachary Blumenstein, a Dickinson College student, at the Greene Turtle on York Road.

One of the officers punched Blumenstein several times in the head while he was on the ground. Police say Blumenstein refused orders and continued to resist arrest after being hit with pepper spray.

The student faces several charges including resisting arrest.
