LOCHEARN — A man was charged in a hit and run crash in Lochearn. It happened Wednesday morning. Baltimore County Police say William Brown Jr. was arrested at his home.

The crash happened at Patterson and Wildwood Avenues at 7:50 a.m. Police said Brown was following a Chevy Impala. When the car stopped at an intersection Brown rear-ended it pushing the car into the intersection where it was hit by another car. The Impala was then pushed into the front of a house.

Police said Brown got into an argument with the driver of the Impala and then attempted to fight with the driver and another passenger before getting into his car and attempting to hit the driver with his car. He then drove off.

The driver, a passenger and a toddler in the Impala were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the third car wasn't hurt and remained at the scene.

Police said they were given conflicting accounts by both drivers of what led to the initial crash.

UPDATE: According to charging documents, Brown told police the victims struck his car from behind and kept going, prompting him to chase after them when they ran the stop sign at Patterson Avenue and crashed.

A witness pulled out a cell phone and captured video of Brown attempting to punch two men after the car ran into the house.

He admitted to throwing punches and fleeing from the scene.

Brown is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center pending a bail review hearing.
