Lowe's has joined the redevelopment plans for the former Owings Mills Town Center Site, Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz announced Monday.

The home improvement chain signed a lease with Kimco Realty for a 132,825 square-foot building expected to open January 2019.

“We are pleased to have attracted Lowe’s as the newest addition to Mill Station, which will provide a thriving retail center for County residents,” said Kamenetz. “The $108 million investment in the project adds to the more than $1 billion of recent private investment in Owings Mills.”

Kimco began construction on the project in 2018, planning a 640,000 square-foot site that could generate 250 jobs during construction. Costco was the first tenant to sign on for the new plan as well. Mill Station's tenants already include AMC Theaters, Chido's, Tex-Mex Grill, Greene Turtle, Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Red Robin.
