Large hole on the side of an Owings Mills apartment building following severe storm

OWINGS MILLS, Md. — A Wednesday night storm caused serious damage and left thousands without power throughout Baltimore County.

The Owings MIlls neighborhood suffered a hard hit following heavy rain and strong wind.

The Foundry Centre Apartments, located across from Foundry Row, has a huge hole on the side of on its buildings. There's no report of any injuries and residents who live in the damaged building are staying at a hotel for the moment.

Baltimore County Emergency Management officials warned of a wind gust up to 60 miles per hour during the storm.

The severe weather knocked down trees and crushed cars.

According to BGE, there's currently 6,000 customers are without power in the county.
