HS football kicker playing for cancer research

Posted

A local high school football player is kicking up donations for childhood cancer research.

Jake Hermann, a senior at Franklin High, is participating in the Kick-It Champions program on behalf of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. They're devoted to raising money for pediatric cancer research.

Hermann will accept donations for every field goal and extra point he makes during the 2017 season. Franklin's first game is Friday at home against Woodlawn.

His goal is $500.
