The Baltimore County Fire Department is forcing an evacuation of parts of the Oak Crest retirement community due to an outside gas leak.
150 to 200 residents of the Belmont Building have been moved to another part of the community to stay safe.

Crews are on the scene and have shut off the gas as well as the power as a safety measure.
Police say the gas leak was accompanied by a underground fire that was quickly extinguished. There was no fire at the Oak Crest facility itself.
Fire crews are using gas meters to make sure the environment is safe. In the meantime, the entrance to Oak Crest is closed to all traffic.
