Fire crews respond to hazmat incident on I-695 after tractor-trailer turns on side

BALTIMORE COUNTY — Baltimore County fire crews responded to a hazmat incident after a tractor-trailer turned on its side.

It took place on I-695 between Charles St. and York Rd. inner loop Thursday around 10:05 a.m.

Officials said the tractor-trailer was transporting polyurethane and there is no fire or chemical leakage at this time.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries

BCoFD Hazardous Materials crews, Maryland Environment, and other partners are working to offload the product.

All lanes of I-695 between exits 25 and 26 will be closed for several hours.
