Driver dead after vehicle crashes into guardrail and overturns

Posted

One man is dead after a deadly vehicle collision.

Just before midnight Saturday, Maryland State Police responded to a crash on I-83, north of Mt. Carmel Road in Parkton.

An investigation revealed a 1998 Chevy pickup was traveling northbound when the operator lost control, causing the vehicle to strike a guardrail and overturn into the southbound median.

The driver identified as 28-year-old Joshua Louis Lough was ejected from the vehicle during the incident, and pronounced dead on scene.

Investigators believe Lough was not seat belted and may have been under the influence of narcotics.

Police say a witness observed the vehicle passing traffic on the shoulder and driving erratically.
