Democrat John Olszewski Jr. officially announced that he will be running for county executive in 2018.
Olszewski is the first to enter what's expected to be a competitive Democratic primary and is looking to replace county executive Kevin Kamenetz who is expected to run for governor.
Olszewski is a former Patapsco high school teacher, nine-year state delegate, and four-year chairman of Baltimore County delegation.
