A contractor accidentally broke a 2-inch gas main outside The Quarters Apartments in Towson Tuesday morning, Baltimore County Police said.
BGE crews were expected to take several hours repairing the leak in the 900 block of Southerly Road. Baltimore County Fire Department also assisted.
There were no injuries, and residents were asked to stay in their apartments, but were allowed to leave if they wanted.
