The Baltimore County Council will accept the publics input prior to appointing a County Executive to replace the late Kevin Kamenetz.
Council Chairman, Julian E. Jones, Jr (D, 4th) made the announcement Thursday stating in part "The Charter requires us to take this action."
Public comments will be permitted via email at countycouncil@baltimorecountymd.gov, until the close of business on Monday, May 21.
Those wishing to discuss the matter in person, are invited to a meeting the on Tuesday, May, 22 at 7:30 p.m. inside the County Council Chambers located at 400 Washington Avenue in Towson.
Once appointed, the new County Executive will serve the remainder of the current term ending on December 3.
Administrative Officer Fred Homan as been acting in the interim since the death of Kamenetz.
