It's been two weeks since Baltimore County police officer Amy Caprio was killed in the line of duty and her death remains on the minds of many. There was been many tribute to honor her and a permanent one is coming soon.

The developers renovating the center right across the street from Schimunek Funeral Home on Belair Road -- where Caprio's viewing was held -- are naming it after her. The former Rite Aid will reopen in in the next year as retail and office space called 'Officer Amy Caprio Center.'

"We have such an innocent officer here who was not only killed doing her job but doing something to keep the area safe. To me, there was no question. It's absolutely a horrific event," Bay Properties owner Richard Cohen said.

Cohen and his fellow property co-owner Myles Lichtenberg are also petitioning to name the road leading into the center 'Officer Amy Caprio Way.' They were out last week collecting signatures and are about half way there. They need a certain amount of neighboring property owners to sign off on it.
