BWI TSA officer saves man's life

Posted

Many of us have been through the security lines at airports. Those TSA officers are there for you safety, and that means more than just checking you pockets.

Jonas Cohen was working at BWI last week when someone approached him and told him a traveler wasn't feeling well. Cohen saw the man slumped over, unconscious.

Cohen went into action and grabbed a defibrillator kit and kept the man alive until paramedics arrived. Cohen shocked him four times before the man’s heart started beating again.

“They train you for emergencies and obviously to remain calm and stick to you training,” Cohen said. “It's just another day at the office.”

This is not the first time Cohen was involved in saving a man’s life. He did a similar rescue in 2005.
