Baltimore County residents can learn about boating safety at an event in Wilson Point Park, Saturday.
The Third Annual Sergeant Marvin T. Haw IV Boating Safety Day runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees can participate in water safety demonstrations, enjoy food from local vendors, and meet local marine businesses, as well as earn prizes and take part in the Middle River Stand Up Paddle Family Fun Paddle.
Sponsored by the Baltimore County Police Marine Unit, the Essex Precinct, the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police, the United States Coast Guard, and other agencies, the event focuses on general boater safety, with a focus on the state's "Sober Boater, Safe Boater" theme.
