Baltimore County Public Schools say all schools will be open and operate as normal Tuesday. Additional police will be present at Perry Hall schools, a day after students were held into the evening after a police officer was killed in the area.

On Monday, students at Perry Hall Elementary, Seven Oakes Elementary and Gunpowder Elementary were held late into the evening before officials deemed it safe for parents to pick them up.
The school system says additional student support resources will be available.
In collaboration with the Baltimore County Police Department, all Baltimore County Public Schools are opening on time Tuesday, May 22, 2018. An additional police presence will be on hand at Perry Hall area schools, where additional student support services will be available.
