Baltimore County Police and Fire say that nine students from Southwest Academy have been taken to the hospital after mace was sprayed.
The school on Johnnycake Road had to be evacuated after the mace was sprayed in the cafeteria.
Police say all the students who were transported to the hospital have minor injuries. Students were able to return to the school after the Fire Department ventilated the building.
