ESSEX, Md. — A 49-year-old motorcyclist is dead following a crash Friday evening in Essex.
Baltimore County Police say it happened around 5:30 p.m. on Route 702 at the intersection of East Homberg Avenue.
Michael Johnson was riding southbound on Route 702 when he struck the rear panel of a Nissan Maxima attempting to make a left turn onto East Homberg from northbound 702.
Medics pronounced Johnson dead at the scene.
It's unclear if speed, drugs, or alcohol contributed to the crash.
