A program that works to enable young adults with the skills and resources they need to jump start their careers wants to enroll more students for 2017.

Year Up Baltimore is looking to bring in 80 students in January. Anyone between 18-24 with a GED or high school diploma is eligible.

Forty-two students participated in the program in 2016. Each Year up student spends six months in the classroom learning skills employers want in their employees. Students then intern for another six months at one of Year Up's partner companies to apply what they've learned and gain critical work experience to start their career.

Anyone interested in enrolling in the program for 2017, can contact Anthony Larkins at 410-462-8531 or by visiting the Year Up website.
