Woman seriously injured in Baltimore City hit and run

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating a pedestrian hit and run that took place earlier this month.

According to police, on July 7, 2020, at approximately 11:25 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Orleans Street to investigate an injured pedestrian.

The pedestrian, later identified as 40-year-old Shannon Shepherd was transported to an area hospital.

Investigators determined Shepherd was standing on Orleans Street near the Northeast corner of the intersection with Chester Street when she was struck.

A vehicle, possibly traveling westbound struck Shepherd severely injuring her.

Shepherd has not yet regained consciousness.
