Woman and boy killed in Baltimore shopping center crash identified

BALTIMORE — Baltimore City Police have identified the woman and 10-year-old boy who were killed after a pickup truck crashed in a shopping center on Friday.

Aruond 4:35 p.m., investigators believe five people were inside of a pickup truck driving around the Mount Clare Junction Shopping Center when someone opened the door.

While the door was open, the car began to accelerate through the parking lot and it hit the front wall of the building, sending 31-year-old Maria Ramirez and her 10-year-old son Yonathan Ramirez to the hospital. Both died as a result of their injuries.

Two other people inside of the truck were also injured, a 9-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl. The driver of the truck, a 30-year-old man was not injured.
