The trash wheel family is getting bigger and now we know the name of its newest addition.
The Port of Baltimore announced Monday the Masonville Cove Trash Wheel will be called Captain Trash Wheel. They made the official name announcement on Twitter.

There is already have a Mister Trash Wheel in the Inner Harbor and a Professor Trash Wheel in Canton.
Other name options were Uncle Curtis, Trashzilla, Oscar or Trash Smasher. The public was invited to vote on it in a week long naming contest last month.
The new trash wheel will be designed similarly to the other two but it will be smaller. It will be built to the specific conditions of Masonville Cove and will be primarily active during significant rain events.
