BALTIMORE (WMAR) — Baltimore Police identified and arrested a suspect they said was involved in an early April shooting.

On the morning of April 15, 34-year-old Jamie Vaughn was arrested in the 1600 block of Ruxton Avenue, without incident.

Police said Vaughn was identified as a suspect after detectives interviewed witnesses and reviewed video footage from a April 2 shooting that injured a 36-year-old man in the 1400 block of W. Fayette Street.

The victim suffered from multiple gunshots wounds to the head and body. The only update police released about the victims condition was that he remains at an area hospital.

Vaughn was taken to Central Booking where he has been charged with first-degree attempted murder. He is waiting to see a court commissioner.
