Workers told WMAR-2 News that they have been trying to fix the problem since 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The 8-inch diameter break is located in the area of the northern grandstands, which was already deemed by an engineering firm as deteriorated and "reaching the end of its useful life" after 100 years. It is also affecting parking, including several handicapped spots.
