Dozens of campaigns signs line the street outside the Mountain Christian Church, a voting place in Harford County.

The most talked about races fall on the Republican ballot. County Councilman Mike Perrone is challenging incumbent Barry Glassman for the County Executive Republican nomination.

Four candidates are also voting for the Republican Party’s nomination for Harford County State’s Attorney, hoping to succeed Joe Cass Ily who is retiring after 36 years.

Voters say they came out on Tuesday to make their voices heard and be part of the democratic process.

“I came out to today because you know I’m an American and I think it’s really important that I vote and my kids see me vote that we talk about the elections and politics,” explained voter.

As of an 4:30 p.m. a total of 84 democrats and 193 republicans have voted in Mountain Christian Church.
