Overnight violence left two men injured after separate shootings on the city's Westside

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two overnight shootings on the city's Westside.

Just before midnight on Friday, officers were dispatched to an area hospital for a reported walk-in shooting victim seeking treatment. When officers arrived, they notified Citywide Shooting detectives who gained control of the investigation.

The department said detectives learned that the victim, a 28-year-old man, was shot in the 5400 block of Crismer Avenue.

At 12:05 a.m Saturday., in Southwest Baltimore, police responded to the 500 block of Catherine Street to investigate a reported shooting.

There, officers found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
