Friends and supporters are holding a vigil for Korryn Gaines, a black woman who was shot by police in Baltimore County Monday, will be held Friday night in Baltimore.

The vigil, set to start at 7 p.m., will be at Baltimore City College high school, on The Alameda.

"This is a time of mourning so please come with peace and respect for [Korryn], her family & her friends," event organizers wrote on their Facebook page.

Organizers are asking people to wear pink lipstick or lip gloss "to show love for Korryn."

Thursday, Baltimore County Police officials announced that they would not "at this time" release the name of the officer, citing serious safety concerns.

Officials also said they had not yet determined whether Kodi Gaines, the 5-year-old, was struck by a round or shrapnel from Baltimore County Police or from Gaines' shotgun.
