Two shootings, two injured; police investigate the early morning incidents

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police say two people were hospitalized after they were shot in two separate Wednesday morning shootings.

The first shooting happened at a little before 2:50 a.m. when officers were were called to the 1300 block of North Milton Avenue to investigate a reported shooting.

They arrived to the location to find a 19-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. The 19-year-old was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Eastern District Shooting detectives learned that the victim was shot in the 700 block of North Rose Street and that, earlier that morning, officers were dispatched to the Rose Street location after receiving a “Shot Spotter” alert.

The second shooting happened at a little after 4:15 a.m. when officers arrived to the 1300 block of Ramblewood Road to investigate a reported shooting.

They got there and observed a 20-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Northeast District Shooting investigators learned the incident occurred in the 5700 block of Leith Walk. According to officials, the victim ran to Ramblewood Road after he was shot and collapsed.
