Two men are dead after crosstown shootings in Baltimore

BALTIMORE — Baltimore Police are investigating two homicides Wednesday morning, after a man died from shooting injures Tuesday night.

At 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2600 block of Gatehouse Drive. There, they found a a 29-year-old man who was shot in the head and torso.

Medical personnel pronounced him dead on the scene.

On Friday, police identified the man as Anton Eastman. He resided on the same block where he was killed.

Tuesday evening, 28-year-old Devon Chavis was shot in the stomach while he was in the 4900 block of Goodnow Road. Davis died at 2:11 a.m., Wednesday at Johns Hopkins-Bayview.
