Two firefighters were injured in an early morning house fire.
On Wednesday, at a little after 12:30 a.m., the Baltimore City Fire Department showed up to the 2500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue for a report of a house fire. Once the firefighters arrived, they were faced with the heavy smoke conditions that were present on the third floor and through the roof of a 3-story end of group dwelling. In addition to that, heavy fire was also present on the second floor.
Two firefighters sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to an area hospital, where they were treated for the said injuries.
The fire was under control just before 2 a.m. and the cause is under investigation.
