BALTIMORE — A 59-year-old man was hospitalized after a train derailed and collided with a dump truck in Baltimore on Wednesday.

It happened around 8:30am along the 1300 block of N. Monroe Street.

The injured person is believed to be the driver of a privately owned dump truck. He's expected to survive.

Police initially told WMAR-2 News a CSX train was involved, but a spokesperson says that wasn't the case instead claiming it was another company called P Flanigan & Sons, based out of Baltimore.

When reached, they had no comment on the matter.
