The Maryland Department of Transportation is closing part of the Light RailLink Service from North Avenue to Camden Yards from October 6-9 for track repairs.

The following stations will be affected:

  • North Avenue
  • Mt. Royal/MICA
  • State Center/Cultural Center
  • Mt. Vernon/UM Midtown Medical Center (Centre Street)
  • Lexington Market; Baltimore Arena (University Center)
  • Convention Center
  • Camden.

There also will be no Light RailLink service to Penn Station.

To minimize the inconvenience there will be free shuttle bus service for passengers between the affected areas, including Penn Station. The buses will run every 10, 20, and 30 minutes based on the time of day.

"This track work will increase the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our Light RailLink system," said MDOT MTA Deputy Administrator Suhair Al Khatib. "Customer safety is always our No. 1 priority. We ask our riders to plan ahead and allow for additional travel time this weekend."
